The Unstoppable Trek follows Mao Mao, a dog who runs between two owners. Mao Mao was adopted by a newlywed couple and had a great time with them. Later, the couple divorced and split their time between two cities. They both love Mao Mao, and Mao Mao can't live without either of them. So, Mao Mao began its never-ending run. Running between the two cities all year, throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter, no matter it rains and snows. There is always a pear orchard along the way, flowers are in bloom... flowers have withered... Mao Mao is also getting old while running...

Author Cao Wenxuan grew up in rural China and is now a professor of Chinese literature and children’s literature. He is the author of several celebrated books for young readers, including the novel Bronze and Sunflower, which received three starred reviews. His fluid, poetic prose depicts honest, sometimes raw, and often melancholy moments of life. He has also received significant recognition for his academic research and teaching in the field of children’s literature, and he was the first Chinese author to win the Hans Christian Andersen Author Award.
Illustrator Igor Oreynikov was born in Moscow in 1953. He has long been involved in animation design, and since 2009, he has been solely focused on the creation of picture books. The work is noted for its vivid rhythm, dynamics, and original composition, as well as its distinct atmosphere and mood. Representative works include Song of a Small Tugboat, Sounds of a Snowy Day, Tales of Uncle Remus, Who’s First (Chinese zodiac), and others. In March 2018, he received the International Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration. Check his work collaborated with Dai Yun: Where Do We Go?
